Case Study: Cerner achieves global scalability and continuous availability with IBM WebSphere Application Server

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Cerner Case Study

Cerner Corporation scales to support global operations with IBM WebSphere software

Cerner Corporation needed a robust middleware platform with a full J2EE engine to support its Cerner Millennium offering and the many solutions running on top of it. Cerner chose IBM and its WebSphere Application Server (listed under IBM Cloud middleware) to provide the required J2EE runtime, automation and operational support.

IBM implemented WebSphere Application Server with automation and strong administration/management capabilities to enable continuous availability and automated deployments. As a result, Cerner scaled to support its global operations, can roll out new application versions with zero downtime, and maintain 24/7 availability for healthcare customers.
