Centergrid, an IT hosting and support provider for mid-market companies, identified that its clients were struggling with data protection, caught between limited public cloud services and expensive on-premises solutions. To address this challenge, they worked with IBM to develop a hybrid solution, RecoveryCenter, which leverages IBM Spectrum Protect software to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade data protection.

The IBM-powered solution combined Spectrum Protect with Frontsafe Cloud Portal to create a cost-effective, multi-tenant service. This gave Centergrid's clients the capabilities of an enterprise solution without the high cost, providing them with greater confidence in their data recovery and saving them significant administrative effort while securely managing nearly one petabyte of client data.
