Idea Cellular Ltd., a major mobile services operator in India, wanted to maximize revenue and improve customer service in a hyper-competitive market. IBM implemented a campaign management solution that could analyze massive volumes of customer data in real time. This allowed Idea to predict which customers might leave and present them with timely, relevant offers to improve retention. As a result, IBM helped Idea increase revenue by nearly 10 percent through automated campaigns. The company also improved the frequency of its customer segmentation reporting by more than seven times and reduced manual activities by 80 percent.
