Bringing digital banking capabilities to market faster with an IBM Cloud solution

UBank, a digital-only Australian bank, wanted to operate more efficiently, innovate faster, and bring new features and products to market more quickly. To do that, it explored a platform-as-a-service cloud development model with IBM, using IBM Cloud and IBM Watson tools to reduce development friction and give developers more control.

IBM implemented an IBM Cloud Platform development environment for UBank, including a Ruby on Rails app and DevOps pipeline, plus RoboChat, a virtual agent built with IBM Watson assistant technology for home loan applications. The result was faster time to market, more autonomous product teams, and lower-cost experimentation, with IBM helping UBank launch new ideas quickly without the overhead of traditional infrastructure.
