Bouygues Telecom achieves rapid innovation by scaling AI on AWS

Bouygues Telecom, France’s third-largest telecom provider, wanted to democratize AI across the enterprise so business and IT teams could move beyond one-off proofs of concept and embed AI into production workflows. To accelerate adoption and address gaps in AI skills, governance and multicloud integration, Bouygues Telecom engaged IBM — using IBM Consulting and the IBM Consulting for AI at Scale services (guided by the IBM Garage Methodology) to design a cloud-native, enterprise-grade AI approach on AWS.

IBM co-designed a reference architecture, ran Enterprise Design Thinking workshops, and helped build and deploy an AI platform and nine MVPs, scaling four cloud-native AI apps from concept to production in four months. The IBM-led solution delivered rapid, measurable value — for example, an AI app that triages B2B leads cut associated costs by about 40% within weeks and automated invoice validation to save employee time — while reducing time-to-value and supporting Bouygues Telecom’s multicloud strategy.
