A IBM Case Study
BNP Paribas, one of the world’s largest banks, needed to modernize its IBM Z software development environment to improve quality, speed, and developer autonomy while moving away from outdated tools and capacity constraints. Working with IBM, the bank set out to create a more agile, standardized, and user-friendly way for its core-systems developers to work.
IBM implemented IBM Developer for z/OS and IBM Z Development and Test Environment, along with open-source tools and IBM InfoSphere Optim, to build a modern IDE and more flexible test environment. The result was greater efficiency in development and testing, more autonomy for developers, better code quality through improved regression testing, and a modernized environment that is easier for new developers to adopt and supports BNP Paribas’s long-term DevOps transformation.
