Barbier Group keeps factories running around the clock

Barbier Group, a global manufacturer of polythene films and wraps, needed faster access to production and logistics data to support Industry 4.0 initiatives and its migration from SAP ERP toward SAP S/4HANA. The company turned to IBM, using SAP HANA on IBM Power and IBM FlashSystem to replace infrastructure that could not keep up with growing real-time analytics and future IoT demands.

IBM deployed two IBM Power H922 servers and IBM FlashSystem 5000 arrays, with IBM partners helping migrate and configure the new SAP HANA environment. The result was ultra-fast data access, up to seven million queries per second, real-time insights for better decision-making, and zero unplanned downtime on IBM Systems for more than 20 years, giving Barbier Group a reliable platform for future growth.
