Baqueira Beret consolidates reporting across three disparate lines of business

Baqueira Beret, the ski resort and tourism operator in the Pyrenees, needed a better way to consolidate reporting across its ski, hospitality, and travel businesses. Its older systems were nearing end of life, couldn’t share data, and forced staff to manually compile information in spreadsheets, slowing decisions and limiting growth. IBM helped address this challenge through IBM Informix as part of the broader Axional ERP platform delivered by IBM Business Partner DEISTER.

IBM, working through DEISTER’s Axional solution, implemented a cloud-based, real-time reporting environment with a unified console for finance, warehouse, point of sale, and business intelligence data. The result was faster, more accurate decision-making, automated reporting, and new operational efficiencies, including freeing staff for higher-value work and reducing materials costs. Baqueira Beret also streamlined ski rental, expanded online booking integration, and increased sales by improving real-time visibility across operations.
