Case Study: Banco Galicia improves banking time-to-market with IBM and SAP for Banking

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Banco Galicia Case Study

Banco Galicia plans its global future, with help from SAP and IBM

Banco Galicia, a major Argentinian bank, faced a significant challenge as its legacy IT systems prevented it from quickly launching new financial products to stay competitive. To overcome this, the bank partnered with IBM to modernize its infrastructure and improve its time-to-market for new services.

IBM implemented an integrated solution based on its zEnterprise EC12 server and System Storage DS8800 devices, running SAP for Banking software. This new infrastructure provided Banco Galicia with a highly resilient and scalable platform, enabling the bank to develop and launch new products much faster. As a result, IBM helped the bank significantly strengthen its competitive position in the financial sector.
