Asian Paints, India’s leading paint and décor company, was facing growing complexity as it expanded beyond paints into a broader home décor portfolio. The company needed to simplify and speed up trade promotion execution for its dealer network, while reducing manual effort in sales and tax-related processes. Asian Paints worked with IBM Consulting and used IBM Operational Decision Manager as part of IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation.
IBM helped Asian Paints automate rules-based decisioning for dealer promotions and GST invoice reconciliation. The new portal automatically calculates discounts and schemes, and flags invoice mismatches for review, blocking payment when needed. The result was a much faster, more efficient process: manual GST matching dropped from up to four days to one day, cutting significant time and cost for Asian Paints and improving the experience for dealers and suppliers.
