A IBM Case Study
Ascendis Health Limited, a global health and wellness organization with 134 entities across multiple sectors and operations in more than 130 countries, struggled with manual, spreadsheet-based financial consolidation. Different ERPs, currencies, inconsistent data, and limited monthly visibility made reporting error-prone and slowed decision-making. IBM was brought in to help modernize the process with IBM Controller.
IBM implemented IBM Controller to support monthly consolidation, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling across the group. The result was greater control, consistent reporting, and monthly group-wide visibility that helped management spot risks earlier, including a cash shortfall that could have affected debt repayment. IBM enabled Ascendis Health Limited to move from annual reporting to a more actionable monthly view, improving oversight and stakeholder compliance.
