Working Eye, a UK-based startup, wanted to improve career guidance for students by replacing broad, late-stage advice with a more personalized way to explore career paths. To do that, it partnered with IBM and used IBM watsonx Assistant and IBM Watson Discovery to build an AI-driven career discovery platform that could guide users through early subject and career decisions.
IBM helped Working Eye create a digital coach that asks discovery questions in natural language, recommends tailored career options, and surfaces relevant written and video content. In pilot testing with about 1,500 students, parents, and teachers, the platform achieved a 100% approval rating in school panels and 48% parental uptake, showing strong early impact.
