A IBM Case Study
Apator Rector sp. z o.o., a Polish software developer, was struggling to keep its development work moving because its storage was spread across old, slow servers and local disks. The company wanted a more centralized, reliable setup to speed access to large Oracle databases and reduce downtime, and it worked with IBM Business Partner INET – Systemy Informatyczne using IBM FlashSystem technology.
IBM implemented a virtualized, centralized storage platform based on IBM FlashSystem 5000, IBM Spectrum Virtualize, and IBM Storage Insights, with tiered SSD and spinning-disk storage for better performance and management. The result was a major efficiency boost: new development database deployment time dropped from 2 days to 5 hours, while Apator Rector also gained higher availability, faster data access, and more reliable storage operations from IBM.
