Straker Translations, an online translation leader, needed a cloud hosting platform with more computing power and the flexibility to scale as its business shifted from CMS software to online translation services. Its existing VPS-based setup was costly, time-consuming to manage, and unable to deliver the performance it needed as demand grew, so the company turned to IBM Cloud and VMware vSphere on IBM Cloud.

IBM implemented VMware vSphere on IBM Cloud with IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers, IBM Cloud Virtual Servers, IBM Cloud Block Storage, and IBM Cloud Advanced Support. The result was scalable, high-performance infrastructure that supported uninterrupted service delivery and cut costs significantly—Straker said a VPS-based approach would cost at least three times more. With IBM, Straker gained the flexibility to focus on growth and core business needs instead of infrastructure.
