An integrated corporate planning and reporting solution

Knauf, a global manufacturer with operations in more than 90 countries, needed a faster and more transparent way to consolidate financial planning after years of relying on spreadsheets that no longer met its needs. The company turned to IBM Planning Analytics to improve corporate planning, reporting, and transfer pricing across its worldwide business.

Working with IBM and business partner avantum consult GmbH, Knauf upgraded to a new APOLLO solution built on IBM Planning Analytics in just eight weeks, adding balance sheet and P&L capabilities and integrating with SAP BW. The result was a consolidated planning platform used by about 500 users, significantly faster performance, improved user adoption, and more automated, transparent reporting across the organization.
