Allstate enhances and streamlines HR management with SuccessFactors and IBM

Allstate, the Allstate Corporation, needed to modernize and simplify its heavily customized SAP ERP Human Capital Management environment so HR could move faster, reduce duplicated effort, and lower operating costs. After evaluating cloud options, Allstate selected SuccessFactors and engaged IBM (IBM Global Business Services) to advise on and implement a hybrid-cloud solution that preserved SAP as the system of record while enabling new talent-management capabilities.

IBM integrated SuccessFactors with Allstate’s on‑premise SAP systems, led project management and business‑process redesign, and helped deploy SuccessFactors HCM Suite, Learning and Workforce Analytics globally. The work delivered a simpler user experience, much faster international rollouts (India deployed at roughly 10% of prior estimated cost), technical support time cut by up to 60% (support tasks now 20–30% of time), IT budget savings reinvested at 20–30%, and an expected ~20% reduction in steady‑state annual expenses after five years.
