A IBM Case Study
The All England Lawn Tennis Club, which organizes Wimbledon, needed to keep millions of fans engaged beyond the grounds of the tournament and deliver richer digital experiences across its app and website. IBM partnered with Wimbledon to help turn the event’s vast match and player data into more useful insights, while supporting fast-paced innovation for a global audience of around 16 million digital fans.
IBM implemented AI-powered features using watsonx, including Match Chat, an interactive assistant that answers fan questions in real time, and Live Likelihood to Win, which updates match momentum throughout play. IBM also used watsonx.data, watsonx.ai, watsonx Orchestrate, watsonx.governance, and IBM Consulting to centralize data, train models, and manage performance, helping Wimbledon deliver instant analysis at scale and improve fan engagement across the Championships.
