Air India SATS takes flight with SAP Business One on IBM Cloud

Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS), a ground and cargo services provider for major Indian airports, was in the middle of a digital transformation when it needed to move its SAP Business One platform off on-premises infrastructure and into the cloud. The company wanted a secure, scalable way to support critical finance, procurement, and management information systems while preserving prior investments and improving performance and accessibility.

IBM helped AISATS migrate SAP Business One to IBM Cloud, using IBM Cloud Bare Metal Servers, IBM networking services, IBM cloud storage services, and IBM Consulting support to manage the infrastructure, network, and security setup. The move was completed in early 2021 and delivered measurable gains, including a 35% reduction in costs and an 80% performance improvement, along with better visibility, faster maintenance, and built-in compliance and security.
