Contextor, a French developer of robotic process automation (RPA) software, wanted to enhance its automation offerings with artificial intelligence so clients could spend less time on low-value tasks and more time on strategic work. To do that, it teamed up with IBM, using IBM Watson technologies to make its RPA solutions smarter and faster to deploy.

IBM helped Contextor train IBM Watson Machine Learning to recognize patterns in user activity and automatically map business processes, speeding up the business process mining phase. As a result, Contextor reported at least a 20% acceleration in RPA solution development, with some client processes such as new client onboarding improved by 80% or more, and full ROI achievable within weeks or months.
