M&T Bank needed a faster, more flexible way to share core banking data with hybrid cloud applications and internal teams without disrupting its z/OS core systems. IBM implemented Z DIH in a 12-week pilot to create an event-driven architecture that continually blends transaction data and batch reconciliation results into an accessible cache. The solution enabled sub-second access to current account information, improved payment decisioning and fraud mitigation, and reduced data-driven project timelines by 40%, while also helping M&T Bank resolve client issues faster through self-service access to consumable data.
