Comparus GmbH helps banks digitize and modernize operations, but one German universal bank needed a better way to manage more than 1,200 processes while balancing standardization with individualized service. To address this challenge, Comparus worked with IBM and used IBM Process Mining plus AI tools from the IBM watsonx portfolio, including watsonx Assistant and watsonx.ai, to reimagine process orchestration through a “banking assistant.”
IBM and Comparus combined more than 30 core banking and support-system functions into a conversational, omnichannel workflow, with TiONA supporting UI integration. The result was a 50% reduction in overall effort and expenses, along with a 30% reduction in customer queries to the bank.
