Blanc und Fischer IT Services GmbH, part of BLANC & FISCHER Family Holding, needed to accelerate digital transformation across its production facilities and enable new business models while standardizing its SAP landscape. To support this challenge, it worked with IBM and Red Hat, using IBM Power Systems, IBM Storage, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP applications.

IBM implemented a modernized, high-availability SAP environment on IBM Power System E980 servers with IBM FlashSystem 9200 and IBM Spectrum Virtualize. The result was 30% faster response times, 50% fewer processor cores, and up to 30% fewer application instances, helping reduce investment and licensing costs while improving performance and scalability.
