CVS Health set out to transform its business and needed a better way to understand and integrate its full ecosystem. To support an API-centric strategy across on-premises, private cloud, and public cloud environments, the company worked with IBM on hybrid cloud integration.

IBM helped CVS Health adopt a holistic integration approach using patterns, practices, specialized skills, and technology. The result was a more connected ecosystem and integration costs reduced by two thirds, with CVS Health saying it could build integration capabilities at about a third of the cost compared with four years earlier.
