A IBM Case Study
Atruvia, the central IT service provider for cooperative banks in Germany, needed to evolve from a traditional data center operator into a digitalization partner while meeting growing demands for availability, flexibility, speed, and sustainability. Its manual, reactive infrastructure optimization approach was fragmented and no longer fit the needs of a modern banking IT platform, so Atruvia turned to IBM and IBM Turbonomic.
IBM implemented IBM Turbonomic to automate and optimize resource management across Atruvia’s hybrid cloud environment with real-time visibility and AI-driven decisions. The result was a 20% reduction in physical servers and the decommissioning of over 1,000 servers within 18 months, lowering costs, energy use, and CO₂ emissions while improving resilience, performance, and agility.
