A IBM Case Study
Munich International Film Festival, one of Germany’s largest and most prestigious film festivals, needed a faster, more secure way to deliver sensitive film files ahead of the event. Its traditional use of hard drives was labor-intensive, costly, and risky, creating challenges for timely ingest of late-arriving movies and protecting content from leaks.
IBM implemented IBM Aspera, including High-Speed Transfer Server, Aspera Faspex, and Aspera HTTP Gateway, to enable secure, high-speed digital transfers to on-prem storage. The solution reduced operational workload, eliminated the need for physical drives, and supported zero cancellations at the 2024 festival, when 150 films from more than 50 countries were transferred digitally.
