A IBM Case Study

Preview of the GMO Aozora Net Bank Case Study

Centralized management of complex financial systems and faster response to system failures

GMO Aozora Net Bank, an online bank with rapidly growing digital services, struggled to trace transactions and identify root causes quickly as its financial systems became more complex. Conventional monitoring tools made incident analysis slow, leading to delayed responses, login issues, customer inquiries, and concerns about service continuity. IBM Instana Observability was used to address these challenges.

IBM implemented IBM Instana Observability to provide real-time, centralized visibility across the bank’s applications and systems, with faster dependency mapping and AI-based root-cause analysis. The results included about a 70% reduction in average recovery time for major incidents, a 40% drop in monthly outage-related inquiries, a 90% reduction in visualization effort, and an 87% reduction in root-cause identification time.
