A IBM Case Study

Preview of the KIB Case Study

KIB partners with IBM to modernize its integration landscape, accelerating digital growth and innovation

KIB, Kuwait International Bank, was struggling with a legacy middleware environment that created complex point-to-point connections, limited flexibility, and drove high maintenance costs. These integration issues slowed time to market, reduced scalability and performance, and hurt the customer experience. KIB partnered with IBM and used IBM® webMethods® Hybrid Integration to modernize its integration landscape.

IBM Expert Labs helped KIB build a cloud-native, scalable, and secure integration architecture with 300 reusable APIs and an open banking framework for fintech and third-party collaboration. The new platform replaced legacy systems with containerized deployments, centralized monitoring, and less manual effort, leading to 40% faster time to market, 4x higher transaction throughput, and 60% lower latency.
