A IBM Case Study
Cacpe Loja, a credit and savings cooperative in Ecuador’s financial sector, needed a more reliable storage platform to avoid data loss and service interruptions while maintaining two productive environments during migration. The organization partnered with IBM and Advance Networks, using IBM FlashSystem 5300 and related infrastructure to address its high-availability and disaster recovery challenges.
IBM implemented three FlashSystem 5300 units with FlashCore Modules, along with IBM Power servers, SAN switches and IBM Storage Insights Pro, supported by IBM Expert Labs and a policy-based high-availability approach. The result was 99% high availability, a 60% improvement in backup efficiency, a 60% faster process response, and a reduction in end-of-day, month-end and year-end processing time from 4 hours to 2 hours.
