Infosys, an IBM Platinum Partner, needed a way to help banks modernize aging core banking systems that were struggling with digital transaction demands, regulatory complexity, and security requirements. By bringing its Finacle digital core banking solution to IBM Cloud, Infosys aimed to give banks a more agile, scalable, and secure foundation for cloud-based transformation.

IBM implemented a cloud environment using IBM Cloud services, including IBM Power Virtual Server, Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud, and other security and infrastructure services to support Finacle. The solution enabled hybrid cloud migration, improved operational efficiency, and reduced total cost of ownership by up to 35% in hybrid deployments. Reported customer outcomes also included 33% higher returns on assets and a 3.9 percentage-point lower cost-to-income ratio versus peers.
