Case Study: Banco do Brasil achieves real-time actionable insights with IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Banco do Brasil Case Study

Banco do Brasil turns data into powerful, actionable insights Empowering real-time, informed decisions with IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS and LinuxONE

Banco do Brasil, one of the largest banks in Brazil and Latin America, needed faster access to managerial and operational data to support decisions in lending, sales, finance, and branch performance. With more than 70,000 dashboards depending on current mainframe data, the bank faced a process that could take over 24 hours and was too costly and slow for timely decision-making. IBM helped Banco do Brasil address these data-access bottlenecks with IBM Db2 Analytics Accelerator for z/OS and IBM LinuxONE.

IBM implemented Db2 Analytics Accelerator to speed up reporting and analysis, helping Banco do Brasil reduce loan-processing information time from 24 hours to just a few minutes. The solution enabled real-time insights for hundreds of thousands of employees, supported a 360-degree customer view, consolidated multiple data marts, and reduced hardware and software complexity. IBM’s solution also supported more than a quarter million complex queries and about 138 terabytes of data processed per day, helping Banco do Brasil become more data-driven and improve business results quarter over quarter.
