Askari Bank, one of Pakistan’s leading financial institutions, needed to modernize identity management to reduce IT costs, speed up onboarding and offboarding, and close security gaps such as plain-text password sharing. In a highly regulated environment, the bank turned to IBM Verify to strengthen access management, improve compliance, and support a more secure, scalable digital experience.
Working with IBM and IBM Business Partner SPS, Askari Bank deployed IBM Verify to automate identity workflows, add self-service password reset, and enforce multifactor authentication. The results included a 75% reduction in help desk time for password issues, onboarding/offboarding cycle time cut from five days to one day, 80% staff adoption of the self-service platform, and 100% MFA coverage for sensitive actions, while also enabling SSO across 36 applications.
