Case Study: Brasil TecPar achieves faster, smarter telecom operations with IBM AI-driven automation

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Brasil TecPar Case Study

Brasil TecPar scales connectivity through AI-driven automation and observability

Brasil TecPar, a fast-growing Brazilian telecom operator, needed a way to manage a highly complex network environment created by multiple acquisitions, legacy systems, and massive alert volumes. With more than 1.3 million subscribers and over 212,000 kilometers of fiber, the company faced slow manual triage, rising operational costs, and limited visibility across OSS, BSS, and field operations. IBM helped address these challenges with a more intelligent, scalable approach to operations.

IBM implemented CORTEX using IBM Maximo Application Suite, IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps, and the IBM Garage methodology to automate asset management, event correlation, and proactive maintenance. The results included up to 15x greater network listening capacity, a more than 70% reduction in alert noise, and 84% faster fiber break incident response. IBM’s solution also helped Brasil TecPar process up to 300,000 alerts per day and improve service reliability through predictive, data-driven operations.
