Evides uses IBM Turbonomic to enable improved insight and control

Evides, a Dutch water management company, faced rising cloud costs and overprovisioned resources after rapidly adopting a new cloud platform. With more than 130 servers across multiple services, Evides needed better insight and control to align cloud capacity with business goals, and turned to IBM Turbonomic with support from IBM Business Partner Aumatics.

IBM implemented Turbonomic to provide automated, real-time optimization recommendations that connected technical usage to cost impact. As a result, Evides cut cloud costs by 43% in the first three months even as its cloud footprint grew 8%, and estimates that the solution drove about 25% of total cloud spend reduction while also helping lower its carbon footprint.
