PVcomBank scales real-time banking notifications

PVcomBank, one of Vietnam’s leading commercial banks, needed a more reliable way to deliver real-time transaction alerts, balance updates, and service notifications as digital volumes grew. Its legacy semi-real-time notification setup struggled to scale during peak periods, creating delays, trust risks, and challenges with personalization and customer preferences. PVcomBank turned to IBM for an enterprise-grade event-driven integration approach, using IBM Event Automation.

IBM implemented IBM Event Automation, including IBM Event Streams and IBM MQ, to create a centralized backbone for real-time banking notifications with secure, resilient delivery. As a result, PVcomBank now processes about 5 million notifications per day with near real-time delivery, has significantly reduced delays and errors, and cut infrastructure scaling time from weeks to hours, improving customer experience and operational efficiency.
