How the Department of Digital Ajman achieved AED 8.6 million in savings while delivering faster, more sustainable digital services for citizens

Digital Ajman, the Department of Digital Ajman in the UAE, wanted to better serve citizens while managing rapidly growing digital service usage, long-term audit and compliance data, and manual, fragmented processes. Working with IBM and its integration and automation technology, the department needed a way to improve visibility, scale data handling, and support its vision of a fully digital, connected society.

IBM implemented a connected, real-time platform using IBM Event Automation and IBM Cloud Pak for Integration within the Ajman Service Bus, supported by Red Hat OpenShift. The solution unified systems, automated reporting, and enabled a centralized dashboard for real-time insights, helping Digital Ajman cut processing tasks to under 5 minutes, support 50,000+ daily transactions, save AED 8.6 million, and preserve 514 trees through reduced paper use.
