A IBM Case Study
Gruppo Megamark, a leading Southern Italy distribution company serving more than 500 supermarkets, needed a more flexible way to manage maintenance across its store network. Its previous asset management system made it hard to design workflows, collaborate with suppliers, track work orders, and control downtime, so the company turned to IBM Maximo Application Suite.
IBM implemented IBM Maximo to centralize asset management, supplier collaboration, real-time monitoring, and preventive maintenance across about 140 stores. The new solution made maintenance processes transparent and traceable, reduced service-request handling time, and delivered significant cost savings, while giving Megamark better visibility into costs, resolution times, and asset performance.
