Würth Group needed a future-proof platform to modernize its SAP landscape, simplify business processes, and support 24/7 global operations without disrupting users. To meet the demands of its digital transformation, Würth Group worked with IBM and SVA to move core applications and databases to SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA on IBM infrastructure.

IBM implemented a flexible, scalable solution based on IBM Power servers, IBM Power Private Cloud with Shared Utility Capacity, IBM SAN Volume Controller, and IBM Storage FlashSystem, with automation tools from IBM and Red Hat. The result was smoother migration with no noticeable disruption, 4x fewer and shorter maintenance windows, over 600 LPARs running virtual servers, and support for 20,000 concurrent users and 100 TB databases with improved availability, security, performance, and cloud-readiness.
