Case Study: Vohkus achieves greater operational resilience and lower TCO with IBM FlashSystem

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Vohkus Case Study

Optimizing operational resilience across four locations

Vohkus, an IBM Business Partner and international risk management consultancy, needed to replace aging storage across four countries as vendor support ended and reliability, performance, and capacity declined. With downtime or data loss posing operational, reputational, and contractual risks, Vohkus looked to IBM for a solution that could consolidate infrastructure, improve resilience, and support growth while reducing costs.

IBM and Vohkus implemented IBM FlashSystem 7300 storage at each location, connected with IBM Storage Networking SAN64B-6 switches and managed through IBM Storage Insights Pro and IBM Spectrum Control. The new setup delivered at least a 2:1 data reduction ratio, a 3:1 performance improvement, and cut the storage footprint from 60 rack units to 6, while improving cyber resilience, simplifying management, and lowering power, cooling, and total cost of ownership.
