UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, needed a faster way to transform large volumes of fight data into engaging insights and storytelling across more than 40 live events each year. Its previous process depended on manual expertise, making it difficult to scale content creation for broadcast, digital, and social channels.

IBM helped UFC build the UFC Insights Engine using IBM watsonx Orchestrate, along with watsonx.ai, watsonx.data, and watsonx.governance, to automate insight generation and support natural-language querying. The result was an estimated 40% reduction in query generation time and nearly a 3x increase in insight volume, enabling UFC to deliver richer, more timely fan content from a single unified platform.
