Nordic Telecom Operator, a hidden Nordic telecom provider, needed a better way to manage the huge volume of alarms coming from tens of thousands of base stations and several hundred thousand monitored devices. Its NOC team was struggling with fragmented monitoring across multiple systems, making it difficult to correlate alarms, identify root causes, and keep the critical network running efficiently. IBM, working with Compose IT, was brought in with Compose Operation Platform built on IBM Cloud Pak® for AIOps.

IBM implemented a unified alarm management platform that consolidated alerts into a single view, added dependencies, correlations, priorities, and automation, and improved visibility and collaboration across NOC teams. The result was reduced alarm fatigue, faster triage and remediation, fewer manual tasks, and better handoffs between agents. The solution also created a foundation for future efficiency gains through add-ons like Virtual Operator, History Search, and Reports and Visualization, helping Nordic Telecom Operator optimize operations and investment planning.
