Case Study: Lenovo PCCW Solutions achieves faster, more resilient IT operations with IBM Instana and LinuxONE

A IBM Case Study

Preview of the Lenovo PCCW Solutions Case Study

Driving application resilience in urban enterprises with AI observability

Lenovo PCCW Solutions (LPS), a member of the Lenovo Group, needed to modernize its IT operations as digital transformation, rising data volumes, and strict security and compliance demands made its existing point-in-time monitoring insufficient. Serving clients across finance, telecom, retail, and the public sector, LPS required a unified way to manage on-premises, cloud, containerized, and serverless environments while supporting 24×7 service commitments. IBM helped LPS address this challenge with IBM Instana Observability and a hybrid cloud architecture.

IBM implemented IBM LinuxONE servers, IBM Instana for real-time full-stack observability, IBM Turbonomic for resource optimization, and AI/ML-driven automation to improve resilience, security, and scalability. The results included faster issue resolution, reduced mean time to resolution, less unplanned downtime, and optimized infrastructure costs through better resource use and reduced overprovisioning. With IBM, LPS improved service levels and built a more agile, future-ready IT foundation for its enterprise customers.
