WESTPOLE Benelux, an IT and services provider in Belgium and Luxembourg, wanted to address a market opportunity by helping local financial firms better manage the growing compliance burden around legal archiving and confidential financial data. With tight margins in its existing services, the company looked for a new offering that could meet strict national, European, and ISO requirements while reducing the hassle for customers.

Working with IBM Systems, WESTPOLE Benelux launched a modular legal archiving and file management platform built on IBM Power Systems, IBM i, PowerVM virtualization, IBM Storwize V5000/IBM FlashSystem 5000, IBM Spectrum Protect, and IBM Spectrum Scale. The solution enabled secure, in-country archiving with isolated client environments and high availability, leading to the first installation within weeks of launch and helping WESTPOLE Benelux win new customers and drive revenue in an untapped market.
