Concord Hospital Meeting HIPAA requirements for security, integrity and reliability

Concord Hospital, a regional medical center and part of Capital Region Health Care, needed to maintain high service levels with limited staff and budget while improving visibility into IT assets, automating security and health remediation, and ensuring software licensing compliance. IBM Security addressed these challenges with IBM Tivoli Endpoint Manager, built on BigFix technology, to support endpoint management across thousands of systems.

IBM Security implemented Tivoli Endpoint Manager to centralize patching, asset discovery, software license management, antivirus control, and security reporting. The results were strong: Concord Hospital reported no malware infections since implementation, patch compliance improved from 60% to 93%, system maintenance time dropped from weeks to hours, and software licensing costs fell by up to 25%.
