Crédit Mutuel Arkéa entrusts its application monitoring to IBM Instana Observability

Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, a mutual banking group, needed to modernize performance monitoring across some 14,000 application instances and replace an underused APM tool. The IT division sought a single observability solution to serve Dev, Ops and business teams (about 1,200 users) and selected IBM Instana Observability to deliver end-to-end insights and foster collaboration.

Crédit Mutuel Arkéa implemented IBM Instana Observability in under a year, managing the migration in-house with support from Instana and deploying the solution across production, acceptance and validation environments. The switch drove rapid adoption—up from roughly 20 daily connections with the old tool to about 275 weekly users (several hundred daily connections)—improved Dev/Ops collaboration, faster root-cause detection and greater application stability, while also yielding data to optimize instance sizing and reduce IT environmental impact. IBM Instana was central to these gains.
