Scale Data Strategies Globally With IBM Cloud Pak for Data and CockroachDB

Cockroach Labs, maker of the distributed SQL database CockroachDB, needed to scale data operations across multiple clouds and geographies while meeting regulatory requirements and simplifying multicloud complexity. To address this, they partnered with IBM Cloud Pak for Data and ran CockroachDB natively on the IBM Cloud Pak for Data platform to modernize how applications scale in a multicloud world.

By integrating CockroachDB with IBM Cloud Pak for Data, the joint solution combined CockroachDB’s transactional processing with IBM Cloud Pak for Data’s analytic and AI capabilities, enabling organizations to globalize data strategies, enforce GDPR compliance across regions, and run machine learning on the most current datasets. IBM Cloud Pak for Data helped customers scale out across clouds, reduce operational complexity, and drive adoption by delivering a single, cloud-native platform for both transactional and analytic workloads.
