Swissport modernizes digital experience across 265 million passengers with Ibexa

Swissport, a global provider of aviation ground services and cargo handling, faced challenges with an outdated and fragmented digital presence. Their legacy TYPO3 system lacked modern features, had a poor editorial experience, and non-responsive design, while numerous country sites ran on disparate platforms. To modernize its brand and unify its web infrastructure, Swissport selected the Ibexa DXP platform, specifically Ibexa Experience and Ibexa Content, through a formal procurement process.

Implemented by partner comwrap, the Ibexa solution provided a flexible and potent platform that simplified the complex network data structure and migrated multiple sites to Ibexa Cloud. The results included a cohesive, responsive design with an intuitive mega menu, a vastly improved news and media center with one-click downloads, and a more elegant display of airport and service information. The project, which went live in July 2021, significantly streamlined Swissport's system infrastructure and provided editors with an easy-to-use backend for fast, independent content updates.
