COMECO is a German startup that launched TEO, a “lifestyle banking” app, in early 2020 to unify users’ bank and card accounts, offer personalized financial advice and a marketplace in a single UI. The project faced stringent banking requirements: top‑level security and permissions, robust connectivity to thousands of banks and e‑commerce partners, high scalability, a headless delivery model, complex editorial workflows and fully relevant personalization for each user.
COMECO implemented Ibexa’s eZ Platform DXP as a headless CMS, delivering content via APIs to native iOS/Android apps and a web portal in under eight months. The platform provided granular workflows for ~60 contributors, explicit and implicit personalization through a recommendation engine, penetration testing and enterprise security—enabling simultaneous app/web publishing, rapid adoption (about 130,000 users within months) and the scale and robustness to pursue hundreds of thousands more customers.
