Mondadori France, the third-largest French magazine publisher with around 30 titles (including Closer, Grazia and Télé Star), faced the industry-wide challenge of moving from print-centric workflows to a multi-channel digital operation. The group needed to unify separate print and web editorial teams, redesign production processes for cross-channel publishing, and respond faster to readers’ expectations while grappling with unresolved questions about a sustainable digital revenue model.
To meet that challenge Mondadori implemented a shared content-production chain and adopted the eZ Publish CMS (with responsive sites and feed-driven mobile apps), retrained journalists, created a social-media team and deployed eZ Live Viewer for real-time analytics. The result: improved cross-channel publishing, faster editorial responsiveness and measurable audience growth—notably continuous traffic gains for Closer—while the company continues to explore sustainable monetization options.
