A Ibexa Case Study
The French Ministry of Culture faced the challenge of managing a sprawling and insecure digital estate of over 200 websites, many of which were obsolete. Their main site was difficult to navigate with untagged content, had poor accessibility, and required excessive time from editors to manage. The Ministry partnered with vendor Ibexa, utilizing the Ibexa DXP platform, to rationalize this footprint and improve the digital experience.
The solution, implemented with Ibexa partner Almavia CX, involved migrating 30,000 content pages to Ibexa DXP, integrating AI-powered tagging (Syllabs) and an advanced search engine (Algolia), and creating templated sites for cultural events. Using Ibexa, the Ministry centralized its web presence, dramatically improved content searchability and accessibility to over 80%, and empowered over 100 editors with efficient tools like a direct 'modify button'. Results included a 30% growth in website traffic to 18.4 million visits and the decommissioning of 50 sites with 80 more planned, all while saving editors significant time.
