Cine Colombia, a century-old cinema chain with 46 multiplexes and 313 screens, needed to modernize its digital sales channel: replace a white‑label mobile app with a responsive, unified site, streamline the ticket‑buying flow, automate showtime synchronization across venues, reduce editorial overhead, and grow online ticket sales.

Working with Aplyca on Ibexa DXP, Cine Colombia merged web and app into a single resilient platform that integrates scheduling, identity, seating, payments, ticket validation and invoicing, and added food sales at checkout. The new site doubled digital sales share from ~15% to 30%, processed over 1 million tickets in the first three months, improved performance eightfold versus the old site, stays stable under traffic spikes, and can be managed by a single editor.
